WHEN THE COWS COME HOME February, 2008

25th February 2008: This weekend in and around Uttoxeter it was a case of the cows coming home – literally.

Staffordshire-based property developer, Fresh Space, launched the show home at its latest development of nine family houses in the village of Withington, just outside of Uttoxeter. Set in a rural location surrounded by farmland, all of the marketing material for the development featured a cow in the leading role.

So rather than the usual AA signs guiding people to the development, Fresh Space and sole agent for the Withington Court development, Bagshaws, posted cows on lamp posts directing visitors along the route.

Managing director of Fresh Space, Rob Rafferty, explained more:

“When building work began at the site on the edge of Withington village, a cow belonging to the neighbouring farmer repeatedly made her way from an adjoining field onto the development site.

This caused quite a stir amongst our site workers, who named her ‘Daisy’. She became so well known amongst Fresh Space workers that our marketing agency decided a cow should front the promotional material for Withington Court. It’s certainly made us stand out from the crowd. You could say that it’s a case of when the cows come to new homes.”

Fresh Space celebrated the launch of the development with Daisy and a host of workers and local people. The Mayor of East Staffordshire, Councillor Cedric Insley CBE, performed the official ribbon cutting with Rob Rafferty, opening the show home for public viewing.

Withington Court is an exclusive, private, gated development of nine farmhouse and barn-style three, four and five-bedroom homes set around a central courtyard. It is located in landscaped gardens and bordered by lush farmland.

Withington Court offers idyllic country living, but maintains good transport links with easy access to the A50.

Prospective purchasers should contact the Bagshaws team to arrange an appointment to view the showhome and to discuss availability and incentive schemes.
